Dawn Gordon CHHP
Like most Holistic Healers I have met, I discovered my passion through my own health challenges. It was an iridology appointment with a Master Herbalist and Nutritionist from the Wild Rose College that turned my failing health around; and it was my realization that the only thing I had really changed was what I ate and drank. There were lifestyle changes and herbs to rebalance my physical, emotional and spiritual body.
Seven years after that first appointment, I took a leap of faith and quit my secure job as a Information Technical Analyst, moved to the West Coast and became a Certified Holistic Health Practitioner graduate of Windsong School of Healing in Campbell River in 2003. My specialties include a deeply relaxing and therapeutic form of Shiatsu combined with aromatherapy and hot stone to release tension in the body and allow the “Chi, Qi” to flow more freely. I have a passion for the healing energy of crystals and essential oils and I combine those with Reiki and Pranic Healing for hands on or off energy work (extremely relaxing) great for seniors, children and very ill clients who don’t enjoy physical massage. Chinese five element theory, iridology and nutritional counseling help clients understand and heal at deep inner levels.
It is my pleasure to share with and guide others to a level of health and wellness that they might have never imagined. I believe that nutrition is the foundation of health, however lifestyle changes are inevitable and I provide guidance and teaching on relaxation techniques, meditation, exercise guidelines and communication. When one person in a family changes the whole family dynamics are affected, and I help with the transition from harmful habits to healthier ones.
Most of my clients return frequently to enjoy the benefits of my Ultimate Serenity Shiatsu massage. This is a 90-minute session which can release pain and tension from the body in a gentle, yet effective and comforting way. I use quiet music, essential oils and quiet lighting to encourage the body to relax and then acupressure, shiatsu, warm essential oils, massage and hot rocks are combined to melt the tension from the body. Shiatsu is Japanese for finger pressure which gently balance energy for the chi in the body (kind of like removing dams and pools in a creek so that the water (chi) flows freely in their channels).
Come explore and create your own individual path to vibrant health, I look forward to meeting you.
